Cookie Policy
This page explains what cookies and similar technologies jse-license.com uses today, and how this policy will be extended if that changes.
Last updated: 29 September 2026
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They can be used to make a site work (essential cookies), remember choices, or track visitors across sites for analytics or advertising purposes (non-essential cookies). "Similar technologies" includes things like local storage and tracking pixels, which we treat the same way as cookies for the purposes of this policy.
Current status: this site does not set any non-essential cookies. jse-license.com is a
static site with no analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts active at the time of writing. The
contact and calculator pages send data via your own email client (a mailto: link) rather
than a server-side form, so no cookies are involved in using them.
2. Cookies we currently use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| None at present. This site currently sets no cookies of any kind, including essential ones — there is no login, shopping cart, or session state that requires them. | |||
We do use standard web font loading from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) to display this site's typefaces. This involves your browser making a request to Google's servers to fetch font files, which may expose your IP address to Google as an ordinary part of that request, but does not set a cookie on this site.
3. If we add analytics or tracking in future
If we add tools such as website analytics (e.g. Google Analytics), a LinkedIn insight tag, or similar non-essential cookies, we will:
- Update this policy to list each cookie by name, purpose, provider, and duration;
- Add a consent banner that asks for your permission before any non-essential cookie is set — not a notice that assumes consent by continued use, which does not meet UK PECR or EU ePrivacy requirements;
- Give you a clear way to accept only essential cookies, accept all, or choose which categories to allow;
- Let you change your choice at any time.
4. Managing cookies in your browser
Even where a site sets no cookies itself, you can control cookie behaviour generally through your browser settings — to block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or clear cookies already stored. How to do this depends on your browser:
Blocking cookies generally will not affect your ability to use this site, since it does not rely on them today.
